Project Description
The Erasmus+ supported project will focus on empowering migrant women who face particular challenges in accessing entrepreneurial opportunities in the fashion industry. Through a holistic approach, we aim to equip these women with the necessary resources and support systems to succeed.
Our activities
include curriculum development, vocational training, mentoring, peer support, evaluation, dissemination and sustainability initiatives. These measures are tailored to the specific needs of women from diverse backgrounds to acquire entrepreneurial skillsets coupled with sustainable textile knowledge in the fashion sector.
Our Goal
is to empower migrant women through e-learning concepts to gain in-depth knowledge in business management, business idea generation and business planning so that they can successfully start their own business in the sustainable fashion industry. In parallel, we provide specialized training for vocational orientation and career planning trainers so that they can effectively integrate the essential concepts into their teaching to promote future-oriented vocational education and career planning.
Project Approach:
Entrepreneurial Skills Development to empower migrant women, enabling their active participation in the fashion industry.
Sustainable Fashion Practices in the fashion sector, aligning with global efforts to reduce environmental impact and increase social responsibility.
Gender Equality: By expanding economic opportunities for migrant women, the project addresses gender disparities in entrepreneurship and promotes gender equality.
Integration and cross-sectoral collaboration among partner organizations to develop innovative vocational education programs tailored to the needs of migrant women, promoting their integration into the labor market.
Cooperation with transnational partners from different EU countries offers diverse perspectives, resources, and expertise, enhancing the project's quality and impact. This collaboration allows for cross-border learning and the adoption of innovative approaches, ultimately contributing to the sustainability and success of the project.
Expected results
Knowledge Sharing: Collaborative development of reports, guidelines, and learning materials for gender-based programs through partnerships between VET and Fashion professionals.
Empowerment: Implementation of an innovative training program in Adult Education to enhance entrepreneurial skills among migrant women, with collaboration between VET and Fashion experts.
Sustainability: Creation of resources and Open Educational Resources (OERs) promoting sustainable practices in the Fashion and Textiles industry, including circular economy principles and socially engaged businesses.
Awareness: Increased outreach to the VET and Fashion sectors through events and dissemination activities, aiming to transform sectors, promote entrepreneurship, and enhance the inclusion of migrant women in the labor market.
We are full of optimism and excited about the potential of our project! We hope to see a wave of innovation in the second-hand fashion industry, led by visionary migrant women. The idea of 'Second Love Cloth Agents' is just one example of the creative possibilities that could open up for us. We anticipate a development that not only strengthens entrepreneurial skills and creates a supportive network, but could also have far-reaching positive effects on social inclusion, economic empowerment and industry cooperation.
This is the beginning of an exciting journey in which we want to shape the future of fashion sustainably together, open to all the surprises it may bring us.
Let's look forward to this promising future together!
